Hi Ash, I was on the buses in 1959 running out of Bull Road and we used to do a Laindon Circular route that crossed over the 127 at Pipps Hill. I left the Eastern National in 1960 but came back in 1962 and it must have been between those years that they closed the crossings as they were shut when I came back. I think that one of the reasons they closed all crossings of the 127 was because there was a serious accident at the Harrows Pub when a motorcyclist went right through a coach.
