I knew an Ernie Marshall of Laindon. Don't know his address, but know he joined RAF in 1941 and was posted to Malta. Sunk twice on the way and rescued by Navy ships. I last saw him in 1988, when I was on a visit to UK. He was then living in Chelmsford. Attended 'Ebenezer' Gospel Hall in the early 40's. Does this help?
