The Public Utility Commission of Texas started an investigation into the $30 rate increase
The Texas Ethics Commission fined MUD 12 President and 2 board members for inappropriate spending of our tax dollars and each fined $500. WE the tax payers have to pay for their $1500 fines and $20,000 in legal fees. How many hours did the employees work on the inappropriate tasks? Inappropriate spending of our tax dollars the past 10 years?
The Public Utility Commission of Texas started an investigation on the $30 rate increase. This is a result of the 200 signatures on the petition. Again, how much will this cost the tax payer in legal fees and fines? Another $20,000 or more!

I am requesting that the voters of Omega Bay support Richard Matthews and Bill Alcorn for their positions on the Mud Board. Should the Mud board be turned over to the radicals expect much discourse and exclusion of Omega Bay voters. I am requesting that all voters turn out for this election and vote for improvement to our water, sewer, and Canals, Without your support no action will be taken on the canals. Again I request your support for Richard Matthews and Bill Alcorn.
Thank you Posted on the Omega Bay message board by Bill Alcorn
Radicals are going to take over the MUD12. This is why people should vote for you and Mr. Matthews!
It’s been 10 years and now only you and Mr. Matthews can fix the canals. Meeting with Omega Bay HOA in a private meeting and telling them that the Bayou Vista residents don’t want their canals dredged. Lying to the HOA that the Bayou Vista mayor stole FEMA money from MUD12.
Past 10 years of MUD 12 Board Great Service and they have been good stewards of our money.
10 years of the MUD Board Directors specific experience on running a MUD system
$17,000,000 bond failed, so blame the no voters. Then $4,000,000 Bond failed, so blame the no voters. Now the MUD 12 Board will give back the $30 /month jacked up water bill ($360 a year) if we vote YES for the Bond. It’s called Extortion.
$10,000 budgeted for the lawyer fees so MUD 12 could jack up our water bill by $30
10 years of Bad tasting water
10 years of Bad smelling water
10 years of Bad stinky wastewater plant
MUD 12 said we had to replace our Hot water heater because it wasn’t the water smelling BAD it was our pipes and hot water heater. Cost us $700 to only find out MUD12 was giving us BAD smelling water and TX TECQ had to come and train the water plan operators.
10 years of Water with brown stuff in it. Remember in the MUD 12 meeting the guy from OB with the 2 jugs of water. MUD 12 Board said in the meeting it wasn’t their problem it was Gulf Coast Water problem.
Sewage spills and overflows that where not cleaned up properly
People yards destroyed by MUD 12 Not MUD12 problem it’s the home owner problem to level out the yard.
