Mr. Princeís plan is not something that just comes to you without consultation and careful consideration or at least it shouldnít if you are going to present it as the way forward. If Iím wrong I truly apologize, but these are complex issues that require analysis, discussion, and interaction. That is why we have a five member board working these things out. I mean no disrespect to anyone, just as Mr. Prince said there was no disrespect intended to anyone when he said the current board is ďin over their headsĒ and suggested that our engineering firm was over-engineering to increase profit. Itís must be politics.
In my opinion, if anyone is headed into deep water, should they be elected, itís the opposition candidates who have limited knowledge of MUD issues. They promise community involvement and transparency and thatís nice, but Iím happier not having new taxes in years and that the board didnít spend $700,000 for years. Thatís being good stewards of our money.
I think there are a number of residents sitting out there thinking that their vote isnít important, but they could turn this election if they would just muster the energy and courage to make their voices heard.
I think ALL the people who are running are fine people who should be congratulated and praised for their willingness to take a tough job in the interest of serving our community and I sincerely thank each of you. Thank you! Several others, including myself chose not to make that commitment to our district.
Having said all of that, I urge anyone who hasnít voted to make the time Saturday to make it happen and
Please vote for Mr. Alcorn and Mr. Matthews and the bond!
And like the other Ken, I also apologize if I have offended or bored or insulted anyone.
