July 12 - July 29, 2018For you new folks who may not be aware, our nearby junior college offers wonderful theater by adults and students every other month most of the year. Shows are performed at 8 pm Thursday’s, Friday’s, and Saturday’s and 2:30 Sunday’s. Amburn Road exit off I-45 N headed west. Theater off main Blvd on your far right. Seniors ( over 50) can attend at 8 pm the Tuesday and Wednesday before the official opening for only $10.
The current play is a energy-packed, corny 1950’s musical full of silly young people dancing and singing their hearts out. Two full hours of carefree fun. Great set and costuming too. Director Brown has done it again. There is some bad language and a few off-color innuendos by the “greasers,” but not enough to damage the show’s cute, uplifting flow.
Nearby fun for a good price. Enjoy!

Hilariously, Quirky, and Tune-Filled Musical Fun!
It's 1954. Everyone likes Ike, nobody likes communism and Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker is the coolest boy in Baltimore. He's a bad boy with a good cause – truth, justice and the pursuit of rock and roll. Cry-Baby and the rich girl, Allison, are star-crossed lovers at the center of this world. Fueled by hormones and the new rhythms of rock and roll, she turns her back on her squeaky-clean boyfriend, Baldwin, to be with Cry-Baby. Baldwin is the king of the squares and leads his close-harmony pals against the juvenile delinquents. It's Romeo and Juliet meets High School Hellcats. Filled with unforgettable songs and a fresh story, “Cry-Baby” will dance its way into the audience's heart!
