Here are my thoughts. |
-I thought I moved into a small community that everyone had everyone's backs. Apparently that used to be the case.
-In moves some people that want to run the government, for little or no pay, for some apparent reason. Where could this lead.
-Suddenly there is noise about how the MUD 12 is sooo bad, doing all this crazy stuff.
-Next comes the accusations, lawsuits, PUC filings, etc.
This is the craziest thing I have EVER seen in my life. Some retired dudes run our MUD for a number of years, for something to do, all pretty quiet. Suddenly, some folks come in to take over?! For no monetary reason, so this is on some sort of personal level. Now I wonder what this board did personally to them, or is there some underlying future angle they are aiming at.
New candidates, your motives are perplexing.
...and yes I just read the 100 or so pages the above links refer to, and I got no issue with the $3xx spent on signs, or a guy driving around in a truck to put out signs. I DO have an issue with a resident bringing charges (because they can, God bless America) and costing our MUD $20K in legal fees.
And don't preach to me about obeying the law. When we get behind the wheel of a car, we all choose which ones apply to us.
But it's all ok. We know which way the 200+ petitioners are going to vote. And then we will get that 'change' that everyone is wishing for. Be careful what you wish for.
