Great Pyrenees are wonderful and beautiful dogs. I love them! They are awesome at protecting. We had one in the past and he was always watching out for our kids. Once our toddler was about to fall down the steps. He wined and when we didn't notice he grabbed her shirt with his paw pinning it against the floor till we realized the problem. We intend on getting one or two again as soon as we get a bigger house / yard. I want them to protect the Bostons. We live in the city and are afraid to leave them in the yard unsupervised less someone comes and snatches them. I imagine a potential thief will think twice with a big Pyr in the yard.
