Marialice,
We have all loved and lost a favorite dog. I had a Sharpei in college that I believe was my Angel from GOD. I lost her in one of the most terrible ways. She was hit by a jerk in a car. He didn't even stop. This taught me a valuable lesson in life. Our dogs are with us for a limited amount of time, they deserve the very best. Now, the dogs in our breeding programs are definitely part of our familys, however they deserve the very best life (as short as they are). If a dog is having a problem in the pack they should be retired to a home with no other dogs. This is our responsibility as breeders to provide the best environment for the personality of the dog. I know that your husband loves Scarlett, however should your other dogs be put in a secondary position. It's got to be stressful, I'm sure. You matter also. In our best attempts to keep others happy, we often don't realize that we're getting defensive and bitter because of the stress and inresolved issues.
We all realize the the importance of breeding only sound individuals however sometimes the groups chemistry or dynamics is to blame.
We all wish you the best in placing your beloved Scarlett.
Holly
