My wife passed thru Money Creek Haven the other day and spoke with Bud. We knew the pavillion roof had been raised back up in the fall, and the restaurant building was stripped of everything. They were initially denied authorization to proceed with rebuilding the restaurant, but Bud says that has come thru now. My wife says he was "bubbly." They're going to do a lot of the work themselves. They're also going to scrape (bulldoze?) all the gunk that settled in the pool. Nice to know the facility will be not just restored, but "new and improved." This is not just good news because I keep a trailer there and enjoy the Hiawatha Rally. It's good news because this family-based business is a livelihood for some of the nicest people you could meet.
