Posted by Gary P. Also, we've added a GIVI top case to the RT and with the optional back-rest pad, my passenger has been very satisfied. Rumor has it that the BMW top case with the pad is less comfortable. With the GIVI top case you get a whole different cargo rack, which I think by itself, is an improvement. Good Luck, Gary P.

I put a Sargent on my 1100RT last year and am very satisfied. Can usually ride all day with no butt pain. Russell seems to have the best reputation for comfort (Sargent may be a less expensive compromise). Some good discussions on web sites out there, like www.bmwsporttouring.com
