Okay folks
We need Good Vibes, Prayers, requests to your Higher Power or what ever you want to call it.
Since he was 8 years old, my elder son, the computer programmer, has had the dream of write games for Nintendo. He has spent the intervening years developing the skill set to do so.
Nintendo, in all the years he's been following gaming programing and development jobs has NEVER advertised for an entry level anything, no less Developer.
#1 son decided it was time to get a job since he was finding his graduate school experience less than satisfactory. So he put together his Resume and was working on his cover letters to send to a number of game companies currently hiring entry level programmers.
Yesterday, he went on line to check who was still hiring and lo and behold! Nintendo is hiring an entry level developer. (Developers write the story line. Programmers write the code to implement the story line.) Needless to say, last night he put his cover letter together and emailed his Resume to Nintendo. We didn't necessarily expect anything but..
THIS MORNING, LESS THAN 3 HOURS AFTER THEY OPENED FOR BUSINESS, HE GOT A CALL REQUESTING HE DO A PHONE INTERVIEW TOMORROW!!
I don't know if anything will come of it, but send those good vibes our way. I am so thrilled for him. Just getting this interview is a major, major achievement. This is not a subsidiary but Nintendo America itself. They must have hundreds of applications.
I'm babbling so I'll stop.
