If he didn't have Deb, he wouldn't be alive. I spoke to her last night.
He is in no condition to go home. I could tell that by the conversation. He wasn't aware of who I was, even after I told him. He was alert and disoriented - his thinking process is erratic. With paralysis, he couldn't handle being home alone or preparing food.
