Once he can sit in a wheelchair like that girl I wrote about he may be able to go home. She had someone come in twice a day for a short time to get her out of bed, bathe her and feed her breakfast. That evening another person came by to get her back into her bed. What I wonder about now is... how did she go to the toilet? 
I never noticed if something was built into her chair. Maybe adult diapers? She never smelled.
