Bobby's Garage : Okay...why 3 laps down?

Okay...why 3 laps down?

Since the commentators only see fit to comment on those running both Busch AND Nextel, no mention was made of how/when/why Bobby ended up three laps down. Did he have a tire problem early on? Unless my eyes were deceiving me (not an impossibility!) when his car DID appear on screen he seemed to be able to hang around the leaders without much difficulty.
Perplexed in Georgia...
