Joey Arrington is the son of Buddy Arrington, a die hard Dodge racer who ran red and blue Chrysler Cordova (#67). They have been a mainstay in Dodge powerplants for decades. You mentioned a stunt driver; you are thinking of Joie Chitwood.
Melling was heavily involved with and owned the cars of Bill Elliott during his mid 80's heyday. At one time he also owned the Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville. Melling also owned the Cup team that Stacy Compton drove for several years ago (green/black cars, not sure of sponsor). Melling was ALSO a sponsor on the #59 truck owned by Harris. Before all that, Melling's family owned Melling Oil Pumps, a major oil pump supplier to Cup teams in the past. The Melling influence in NASCAR is similar to that of Junie Dunlavey, Hershel McGriff, Dave Marcis, Jr. Johnson. Been around forever and......like the Energizer bunny..........keeps goin', and goin', and going......................
I think BHR will now be swallowed up into a conglomeration which is attempting to still survive in a series with heavy BUSCH and CUP dollars being spent every week.
Hey, ya gotta try to survive.............
