Become part of the 2009 NASCAR on SPEED Road Tour Team!
We are currently recruiting for the 2009 NASCAR on SPEED Road Tour Team. We are seeking candidates that are energetic, outgoing, approachable and comfortable interacting with large groups of fans. Candidates must have an extremely flexible schedule and be able to fly in and fly out to work 38 races between January 2009 and November 2009. Staff will typically be traveling Thursday thru Sunday – but may vary. Candidates should be knowledgeable about NASCAR and be able to easily connect with fellow fans!
The client is the nation’s first and foremost cable television network dedicated to motor sports and the passion for everything automotive. The client is a supporter of NASCAR and will be at all races. The purpose of this program is to help build brand awareness while creating fun and memorable experiences for fans at each event.
Responsibilities:
Be a SPEED Ambassador
Bring a high energy, fun attitude to entertain and excite fans
Data capture for SPEED marketing initiatives
Develop and perform on-stage pre-shows, games and talent introductions in front of large audiences
Engage and interact with race fans
Operate basic electronic equipment (PDA, computer, iPOD, video camera)
Setup/teardown on-site marketing elements
Distribute and maintain inventory of marketing materials
Establish a good rapport with SPEED talent and production team
Conduct yourself in a professional and responsible manner
Represent SPEED in a positive and ethical way
Maintain relationships with corporate partners, broadcast partners, sponsorship partners, employees and fans
Requirements:
Ability to approach consumers and interact with large groups
Comfortable in front of a crowd and speaking on a microphone
Energetic and outgoing
Highly motivated and creative
Ability to work well as part of a team and as an individual
Previous promotional/tour experience
Familiar with NASCAR and Motorsports
Ability to travel; open and flexible schedule
Candidates must be 21 or older
Ability to work long hours while standing
Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
Clean driving record
