James 4:8a Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. James 5:13-16 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, annointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent of a righteous man availeth much.

I have just removed a message from this list that was a little sad. It did not meet our criteria for two reasons:
1. It was not a prayer request.
2. It did not do anything to encourage the saints or usher in the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ was not just some "Old Testament Prophet" as was suggested in the message, He is the only begotten Son of God. Without the Gospels, there would be no reason for the New Testament because what Luke put forth in Acts was following the ministry of Jesus, and Jesus is the entire reason for the bible. That is from Genisis to Revelation, there is a scarlet thread of redemption running throughout the bible which points directly to the cross. Without the Cross and the Ressurection, there would be no reason for the church. Not this church or any other church. If we think that Jesus was just a prophet, we are no more than Muslims or some other non-redemptive sect. Without the Saviour, there can be no atonement, and without atonement, we can never again come into the presence of God. Why would you come into a church and try to take away the hope, faith and love of the people if you are not working for Satan. Go spin your lies somewhere else. We will have none of them here.
