Posted by cork1 on 4/27/2006, 9:59 am The original plan was for Bone to set up and play a couple of songs after cork2 had been taken to lunch, but Tiff and Brenda (cork2's fiancee and roommate) veto'd that. The powers present at Happy Hour, however, somehow convinced them that a full-blown midnight basement party was a much better option. It's a safe bet that we went to Centerfold's pre-show. I seem to recall buying a 20-pack of Milwaukee's Best, a bottle of Evan Williams and several packs of cigarettes in payment to the band.

To me, the best part of cork2's birthday surprise was that he came home from work and found a lame, obvious surprise party in session, which he pretended to be happy to see. Only when HotRod phoned from the basement and the band kicked in did he look ever remotely excited.
