Posted by Cork2 on 4/27/2006, 11:09 am, in reply to "Bone Appetit surprise birthday bait-and-switch" I worked at the newspaper, and I had to stay late to look at the first few copies of that night's edition. My friends Mike and Brian left me there alone, which I thought was a completely b###h move to pull on the birthday boy. Whatever. I finally get home, and I'm kind of crabby. I can't park in our driveway, because there are a ton of cars there. Great. Looks like my roommates are having a party or something. (At this point, I'd basically forgotten that it was my Special Day.) Anyway, I was happy to see people and stuff, but I didn't really get the point of what was going on until much later. Like I said, I'm dumb. The basement show was great. I got to sing the chorus of "That's Rock 'N Roll," fulfilling one of my dreams. I think Sudden Death wasn't available, so Mindy took his place. People drank a lot of beer. That's what I remember. Great, great night.

The reason I didn't look excited at first was because I'm dumb.
