The Triumphant Return of Bone Appetit Here’s a dirty secret about Homegrown, and the Duluth music scene in general: Despite what you want to believe, every other band in Duluth exists as support for Bone Appetit. Low, Crew Jones, Charlie Parr —fodder to keep the rabble busy until Bone can step on stage. HotRod Heartthrob, who currently is on “sabbatical” in Florida, took time from his busy schedule of “catching these purple catfish that sound like ET” to answer a few questions about the band’s plans for this year’s Homegrown: “Well, obviously, we’re going to win it again. Double Barrel and our manager are coming from the West Coast. … Sudden Death and one of the Keepaways — maybe the drummer. … Rum and Tab —the drink of the weekend. … I really don’t ####ing care about that kickball game as long as I go to Centerfold’s afterwards.” Be afraid, keep your girlfriend clear of the band and get ready to rock.
