Posted by Joyce on June 7, 2006, 1:28 pm, in reply to "Re: ASSULT ON BUS" Using all capitals on the internet is considered shouting. Please use a polite behavior. I would suggest that for the principle and anyone you deal with at the school, too. They have a job to do and they try to do the best they can. They need the support and cooperation of the parents. The PTA has a lot of good information about the rights of parents and how to protect yourself and help your child get the best education possible. The best schools are the ones that have the most parent participation and usually means in the PTA as well as helping out the teachers. I never assumed my children were perfect. I always talked to them with love and still do, so they tell me a lot of things that many parents aren't privy to from their kids. When kids are put down for the things they say or yelled at or if they think they can get away with lies, they will lie. It is a natural defense mechanism and is "taught" by our society indirectly. I'm not saying your child is "at fault" but it isn't good to assume one's child is totally innocent. The problem needs to be worked out with all parties involved with patience. --Previous Message-- Link: National PTA Parent Resources
