I was shocked and saddened to learn of Raccoon's passing; I had just heard from him about a planned visit, and I thought he sounded better. My love to all the Gibbs clan, Robin, Victor, Justin, Julia, Stephen, Scotty, Christine, Bessie, and H-Ray and Fritz in heaven. I feel I have lost a brother also. There was no-one in this world like Raccoon. I have never been sure he was really of this world. There was a wisdom there in his music that this world needs and I fear most will never get it. I learned to play guitar and write songs from a true master, and I will always be richer for it. I can't say more at this time, but anyone who knew him and his music, and especially those who were privileged to play music and travel with him learned things about the true nature of reality that you just couldn't learn any other way. Violence kills, love heals, and Raccoon left us with a collection of songs that describe an ideal he himself could not live up to, but in these sad and sometimes terrible times it gives us something to reach for. Thank-you my friend, I love you and will always miss you.
