Posted by Joyce I have 2 versions of the Baden genealogy - from Early descendants - Margaret Blandford & Bettie Woodle. Here's what I wrote Steve.: 1st message: 2nd message: If you try to send me an email, please make the subject line explanatory as my spam filter often picks up messages from people I've never emailed before.

Your email bounced - did you miss-type it here? Here's what I was trying to email you.:
"There's a Grayson Baden in the Early family genealogy who died June 28, 1985, but I don't have a record of a sister named Helen according to this. The families back in those days (and still often today) repeated names over and over again. I have the Early family genealogy, because I live in the historic William Early house and the 2nd cousin of the man who built this house lives across the street at age 93. I got photos from her which are on the web site. William Early, whose photo is on the site, named the town of Brandywine and his granddaughter, Margaret, married a Robert Baden, who's buried at the St. Paul's Cemetary. All of their male descendants, of course, were Badens (females, too, until they married and changed their names), but I don't think I have them all. He likely had siblings, so his line isn't the only line of Badens in this area. I don't see the name Pardee anywhere in the Early line. I don't see any Pardee listed as a land owner on the 1861 county map or in the Bowie genealogy either. Genealogy can be a lot of time-consuming work, but fun if you're interested."
"I forgot to mention that this Grayson Baden had a wife named Marie also. He was born Sept. 4 (no year listed) and his wife's name was Marie Virginia Bean born Sept. 1, 1908. Just about everyone out here was a tobacco farmer - just a couple years ago they sold out to the state. This Grayson's father was James (Jim) and it lists 3 brothers, no sisters, but it could be this part of this genealogy didn't include the sisters for some reason. She might have been buried somewhere else (wherever the Pardees went) since all of these Badens were buried in St. Paul's Cemetary and that may be where they got the information about them. If this is your family, I have them all the way back some six or seven more generations to Ireland."
