He wrote and sang "Yahweh Sunshine" by Jello on the Relix Bay Rock Sampler The Lost Boys #3. Gibbs has been playing live for over 10 years throughout the Midwest, the East Coast, and as far off as California. He doesn't play bars often, but he does appear at lots of open-air gigs and other impromptu events. At present, he has a selfproduced tape of original songs available called Road Kill, performed solo with just acoustic guitar backing. Raccoon has a good voice, a wry sense of humor, and some great songs that should appeal to people who like Country Joe McDonald, Woody Guthrie, and similar artists. "Rainbow Mountain," the title cut, and "Buffalo Road" show the more poignant side of his writing, while "Sit 'n' Think 'n,"' the superb "Six Pack Heart Attack," and "Ten Little Indians" highlight his ability to explore socially conscious topics with humorous lyrics.
