Posted by Brian Lilley "Hi Brian, As you know Matthais and his brother, William were hanged at Bedford Prison in April 1829. My interest was aroused when I visited the Family Grave at Kempston and wondered why they had both died on the same day, little did I know what an amazing story was about to unfold. I have compiled an extensive Family Tree which dates back to the 1690's with a John Lilly who was a Weaver and lived in the North Bedfordshire village of Radwell. Although your ancestor, John Lilley is included in my Tree I had no idea that three of his son's had emigrated, or the Australian branch of our family. I'm sure there is a lot of information we could exchange and would welcome the opportunity to do so. I think your web sites great, well done. Keep up the good work "cousin ?" Will contact you again soon. Regards, Brian BRIAN JAMES LILLEY email: brianlilley@appleonline.net - (home)

The following email came as a shock to me when it arrived last week. It is from Brian James Lilley who lives in Bedford UK. I have taken the liberty of producing it here because of the
important and informative information that is contains. It came to me via Carol Kennedy, because Carol was the only person he
was able to contact at the time!!
It came as quite a shock finding your web site whilst browsing the other night. Having spent several years researching into my Family
History and close to producing a book on the subject, it would appear that you have beaten me to it. Not only do we SHARE the "SAME NAME" but also the "SAME FAMILY HISTORY".
YOUR Great, Great, Grandfather, JOHN LILLEY was the BROTHER of MY Great, Great, Great Grandfather, MATTHAIS LILLEY.
