how right you are. but isn't it the same for any word? i much prefer the french for "jump" - "sauter".
but that's because i'm bourgeois, really.
anyway, mobile phones are a menace to language. mine just goes "ring ring", but i'd like the solo from "fear of drowning".
but my phone's rubbish.
oh well.
