| This guy got a haircut in Haiti and lost his bangs in the process

He's worried he looks hideous without his bangs.
I look drastically different with my new Haitian haircut! I decided that my time to experience this part of the culture is quickly dwindling, so with Wadnerson armed with my camera, I entered the barber shop! I brought my BBC pictorial and showed the barber my picture so that he had a target to shoot for. I told him to use the buzzer on the sides and leave about an inch and a half on top. Well, my hopes fell to the floor along with all of my bangs. Although he left an inch and a half on top, I suppose that I didn’t specify that he should also leave that much in the front. From there I told him to cut as he thought was good. And viola, I look more like a Haitian today than I ever have. Most of the men here have very short hair and the top is the longest. Mine isn’t quite like theirs, but it looks roughly the same shape. I have seen Pastor Carl get his hair cut a couple of times and some of the tactics that they use on Haitians’ hair didn’t quite work that well on mine. Most of the time was spent shaping my hairline, which, I didn’t really want to be visible in the first place. Anyway, this was a great experience and it gets a great reaction when people see it for the first time! I am glad that I got to engage this Haitian culture in this way. It really isn’t as hideous as I thought it was going to be, although, it is quite different!
