I don't get to Clayton much anymore, mostly just for graduations, weddings, funerals and the like. I just wanted to say how proud I am of the progress that Mr. Phillips has made with the band program. It was once such a jewel in the CHS crown but in the interim it has suffered. I know that budgetary constraints have placed a tremendous, if not fatal burden on many extra-curricular activities in many schools across the country and that makes what Mr. Phillips has accomplished so much more incredible. Of course, I would expect nothing less from him because I got to see his work up close for a couple of years when I was in high school, when he previously was the CHS Band Director. Keep up the good work.
