In response to "Just Curious".
I have been in Des Moines for 18 years now and work for a local funeral home. When I mentioned about people being "laid out" I was scorned and ridiculed and told to never use that term but use terms like "open viewing", "lieing in state" but should never use "laid out". Is this an Illinois thing or what?
