I think it's a great Idea to all go to Fun Spot.
I think Sunday night is Adult night and they play oldies music. I practically lived at Comanchee roller rink! I was a champion at the cup race & shoot the duck! I like the comment someone made about having a dime night pass. I have an all day skate pass. I had the red windbreaker with a big embroidered blue skate and Comanche roller rink on it. I wore that jacket until it was worn out! I have photos of my friend Camille and I with Uncle Vic (he wasn't my uncle but everyone called him uncle Vic and also Uncle George. Remember we used to bring our gum wrappers (juicy fruit, doublemint, spearmint, etc) and we would make necklaces out of them and Uncle Vic had them behind the counter. Hehad one that was at least 6 ft. tall. I think we used to give him go go rings too. I remember he used to play down in the boondocks all the time. I hear certain songs and then it reminds me of the skating rink. I went every day it was open. Someone mentioned a Danny that used to go there. That is Danny Allen. His sister was Cathy Allen. They were both very good skaters. After the rink closed the Lion's club bought it and rented out the hallo for wedding receptions. I had my wedding reception there! That was nostalgic! I would like to know when the Dave clark Five played there. That would have been before I started going there.
