Posted by HOST on 10/25/2007, 11:01 pm, in reply to "digital camera memory" When you click on "delete" when reviewing a photo or video, in a sense you're really not deleting it - you're just instructing the card that it can use that space to rewrite a new photo or video onto it when it needs the space as you take pics/video. If you "format" the card, most likely, the stuff is gone forever. If you do a Google search on "memory card recover" then it will give you a list of articles on the topic as well as software options that are available to retreive possibly lost data from a memory card. If you are using a memory card and you "delete" it and haven't filled up the card completely with new photos or videos, then you MIGHT be able to recover them.
