Hi,
As I was pressing my shutter button halfway down on my camera I noticed all these little green boxes popping up in different locations on LCD screen. I checked my manual and it talks a bit about focus with these boxes. When I focus right on a subject such as a flower the boxes don't rest right on the flower. What exactly are the boxes trying to focus if they aren't directly on the subject? How does this work and why sometimes are there many of them and sometimes just one box when shutter button is halfway down?
