"Memory Sticks" are a proprietary format by Sony and to my knowledge they only work in Sony cameras today. There were a few older Minolta point-and-shoot models that took them a while back but those are long since off the market.
Keep in mind that older Sony cameras used the regular first generation Memory Stick and that the newer models use either the newer versions which are called Memory Stick Pro, or, Memory Stick Duo (or Pro-Duo). Old first-generation Memory Sticks will NOT work in the new Sony models. You should be able to tell if yours is old because they were almost always gray/blue in color and did not say Pro or Duo anywhere.
