If you are not familiar with digital cameras, I would strongly suggest you decline this offer. I would go to an electronics store and buy one with a good user manual. They have very good ones fairly cheap now - Sony has one for under $100. Honestly, for what it's worth, pixels don't really matter - 5-7 pixels are good enough especially if you have a good photo software package on your pc...
