digital cameras for dummies

I'd like to get my mom a new digital camera. She is 78 years old and very out of touch with today's technology!!!! She needs something as simple as possible but something that takes good pictures. (She has lots of grandkids!!!!) I'm able to spend up to $175.00

Any suggestions on a good camera that is simple to use?
