Dear Jean: I have 3 of these things and basically they all seem to operate the same way. The button that takes the photos: Press and hold down some seconds to activate the camera for the first time. Release. If it doesn't come on, do it again. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries and suddenly it is working. DWat
