Posted by eliz on 3/23/2005, 4:02 pm, in reply to "Re: Update: What's Your Experience When Paging for Property Patrol?" this instance with interrogation of children-- this involves everyone. my concern right now: what are the ages, the time of day or night, the area and circumstances? what do the children say they were questioned about? what does patrol say? is there validity to the questioning, but a concern b/c parental permission wasn't given? where are the parents? has this happened before? if so, why? why would names need to be written down? what we say--and how we say it, is what makes this forum powerful...and dangerous. when issues like this involve serious allegations, no longer is it just 1 or 2 or 3 people chatting. inuendo and nuance have no place here-- both sides, and all facts are followed up on--sometimes by the board, often by the collective interest and involvement of our 300+home/ 26-acre 'family'. see you all at the next bored meeting.

hmmm--ok.
this is concerning. for one thing, if we are inquiring if things have changed with the paging system--and we all know it needs to--we have to be open to that possibility.
is the paging/response better? i haven't used it recently.
relative to the issue of promptness when paging patrol vs. inappropriate, interrogative harrassment by patrol, is a much larger issue altogether--one that cannot stand on casual assumption or single-sided viewpoints. these allegations must be pursued, with forthcoming facts presented from both/all parties involved.
