Hi my name is Palmer. I am an 8 month old female Pit-bull/Catahoula Mix Mix. My owners could not keep me in their unfenced yard. So they surrendered me to the animal control, to avoid paying a fine. I am beautifully colored, so I think anyway. I am very intelligent I learned to sit, stay, shake and roll over in less than 15 minutes! I am currently working on not jumping on people, but I love people so much! I would work best being the only dog, until I get over my fear of other dogs. I have a ton of energy and would make someone a great jogging companion. I will be spayed and up to date on shots before going to my new home. My adoption fee is $50.00. And my new home must have a fenced yard. She wants to be wherever her humans are and is...not happy being in the backyard alone. She would do well in a home with a stay at home parent or being crated when you are gone and allowed out when you are home. She loves to go on walks and loves squeaky toys. She is getting along fine with her boxer foster brother but clearly has never had to share toys or food. She is doing very well with her crate training and potty training. The Cimarron Valley Humane Society does not have an actual shelter. We rescue animals and place them in foster care until we find a FURever home for the animal. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated. Most animals are crate trained and know basic commands.
