I am responding this way in reference to Amy Carson's post crying for help for Annie, which will show up below this. I am doing it this way to bring attention to Annie and her photo and to point out beginning problems that I picked up in this photo. AGGRESSION is USUALLY BROUGHT ON by human error. Take a look at this photo and notice the SHOCK COLLAR ON HER. GUARANTEED THAT SHOCKING A DOG ESCALATES AGGRESSIOn. A GIVEN!! Now I realize many people use it BECAUSE it is a supposedly a QUICK FIX.. it is a nightmare. I know.. I tried one long ago and almost ruined a good dog. And I didn't know any better then but I do now. I can prove it over and over again and have. I can explain by phone to AMY, as well as start working with her and her dog. I hope its not too late. STRONG LESSONS.. but dogs usually, given time and RIGHT leadership.. turns around. EVEN THE WORST. She has vision problems, she is double merle bred. I see vision problems in the picture. This would make a dog more reactionary as well. There may be hope at this point. People bring in trainers and behaviorists and there are devices used such as shock collars and invisible fences, and choke chains and muzzles used improperly and the list goes on. I am not saying anyone did this deliberately.. I am telling you it happens when people don't know where to turn and what to do. There are OTHER OPTIONS.. why not try them? I give my time freeely, hours upon hours.. and very few cases have not responded.. we never fail till we fail to try. Jerry and Amy reached out to this board in Nov and Dec of 2011, March of 2012.. Amy came back on and asked for help again. Amy if you contacted me and we spent time together on the phone.. I might not remember as I have tons of people contacting me. But I don't think you did and I know Katie suggested you do it. If you did contact me.. then as things escalated you should have contacted me again. I am still open to helping you and ANNIE, and I have 37 years with these dogs and hundreds behind me that are still doing well,NO EXAGGERATION HERE. Life is precious.. want to give her the time and another chance safely?? We can try. 406-323-3519 my phone number.. EVES is a must and plan for a lengthy phone visit. I have to leave on THURS through SUN and so this week is not a good week. So lets shoot for next week if you wish to take my offer seriously and call me. I am in MT so you are an hour later than I am, but I don't care how late you call. Wed nights I don't get in till after 10 my time.. and my kids are here but don't answer the phone. Call late if you wish
