I'm working with 2 others (Beth/Founder Rehab) and Sharon (Helen's Haven) to help Max, a 12 week old Lab puppy. He did NOT come from an abuse or neglect situation. He had an accident on Thanksgiving that fractured his elbow in the worst way possible. His family was completely heartbroken to give him up but didn't have the funds for either surgical option.
We are halfway to our goal in fundraising to get him the surgery he needs to keep his leg. His story is up on www.Razoo.com/us/story/Maxbrokehiselbow
All donations are tax deductible and we'll post update. Please view and SHARE!
His options are surgery to repair; if it can't be repaired he'll lose the leg, otherwise he'll have too much pain if we just let it go.
This would be a front leg amputation, so we are really, really hoping it can be fixed! (Front leg amps are harder on the dog, as like in horses the bulk of the weight is in the front part of the body. We have a rear leg amputee German Shepherd that gets along great, but amputation is last resort only.)
(it's not letting me add a picture here, but there are several on the link!)
