I be very good, finally making progress on the house remodel

old house torn down to daylight basement level, lower level concrete slab cut and sewer pipes installed for new bathroom and water heater drain, gravel placed and compacted for expanded lower level. Then my builder's wife had complications from knee replacement and he's been with her at hospital for a week, so everything stopped again. But as I told him, he needs to take care of "his Jan" and my job will still be here. Awaiting concrete pour and deer season is starting on Friday, when hubby and concrete guy head to the coast for 10 days. |
Little at a time . . . fortunately, we're living in a nice log house, about two tenths of a mile from construction site and horse barn, during construction. I had intended to live in 600 sq ft cottage on the property, with hubby, two big dogs, and three cats. Figured there'd be blood on the walls with that many in such a small space. So cottage is my tack and storage room until everything gets built.
New record for October rain in the region. Glub. Makes me less inclined to outdoor activities. Fortunately, the 60 tons of rock and gravel I put around the horse barn last winter is doing its job and the horses aren't standing ankle deep in gushy mud. Plus it's easier to scoop poop!
How's by you?
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem . . .
