Before the 400A, from '76-'78, Honda also made a wet-sump version of the sohc 750 four with 2-speed semi-auto 'box, also has two clutches in there. Only sold in the US and, I think, Japan. Honda GB did import a '78, and lent it to MCN to thrape ... errr, I mean "test" ... fastest-accelerating 750 or somesuch, iirc.
In the US, there was also a 'custom' CM400A version and, when Honda upped the cc. to 450, a CB450A and CM450A, I think the latter was the last version still offered new, in '83?
