My Father was a Blacksmith / Farrier by trade, and moved into engineering as the need for Blacksmiths dwindled. I have many of his old tools, one of which was a large swage block on a cast iron stand. A blacksmith mate of mine wanted to buy it, but I could not bring myself to sell it, so I let him have it on permanent loan, I guess it's now down to whoever falls of the perch first as to whether I see it's return, but at least it's being used. As Jerry said, whenever their old tools are being used, you somehow feel they are still there with you.
