Arrived at Snetterton Friday afternoon and got parked up in my usual spot in the paddock (near the bar) It was pouring with rain so waited until a break. Unloaded the bikes and it p....d down. Got both bike through scrutineering but then the new Honda struggled to get through the noise test. It's only 2 Db out so shouldn't be too much trouble to modify the silencer. Saturday was awful weather and I decided that I wouldn't go out as my days of taking risks are over. I have never known so many crashes in one day so think I made the right decision. Sunday I took out my no1 bike and it sure was slippery on track. I spent most of the time wiping my visor due to very fine rain which was still catching riders out as the circuit did look dry but it wasn't. Took the no. 2 bike around the paddock and it won't run on all cylinders so will have to check out the ignition and change plugs. If that doesn't work then it will have to have the carbs off and get them ultra sonic cleaned which is not a job I will do myself and will leave that to the experts. The first picture shows the two bikes spending their first time together in the paddock and the second picture was taken Saturday afternoon when I was running out of dry socks and was trying to get then dry. My poor old generator was running all the time just to keep the heater on in my van. Well that's two meeting down this year and both have been bloody cold and wet. Just hope things improve and the end of May when I will be at Oulton Park. Please summer hurry up and arrive!
