Funerals for sure. At work IF your visiting customer expects it, or if they have "tie" standards in their own workplace when you visit.
Don't wear 'em as often as I used to, but there are still places.
But we don't really want to go back to the 60-year-old ways, do we? I mean, EVERY man not in overalls or a smock wore black shoes, white shirt, vest (waistcoat to you), a coat, a tie, an overcoat, and a hat ..... I look at the old pictures of my grandfather's day, and he wore a tie to go fishing on the Chesapeake Bay ....
