I have an issue with my recently renwewed car insurance - it would appear that when they checked, there are several accidents recorded on a databse called the CUE database against me.......which I have never had.
Try calling my insurer, you get one of those nauseating automated voices that keeps on asking you questions, when you have answered them all you are put into a queue, a very long queue, in fact after 10 mins I shouted "SHOVE IT UP YOUR..." down the phone in frustration.
Try and contact the CUE -no tel No, a fax No yes, you can submit a data request form to find out what info they have about you.
If you want to challenge CUE data you have to go to your previous insurer and get them to update your info, but that takes in the region of a Month for CUE to update your data, I have to notify my insurer by the 05th Aug - that's going to happen.
And to rub salt into the wounds, my new insurer tells me that because I have these so called accidents registered against me I have to pay an extra £20 - oh yeah, and they have already deducted that from the account related to the card details I gave them a week ago - the card I told not to re use - surley they have broken some kind of law there.
Ah well, just have to get back on the phone again and deal with that nauseating automated voice.
All I want is to do is call a number and speak to a person - guess that is just too much to ask.
Think I'll go get pi**ed tonight.......
