Now I have a FB account and it has no personal information on it whatsoever. I regularly check what is visible by accessing it using another facility. If I think that anybody is able to get loads of personal info then I simply reset the security settings to limit access.
FB is easy to use and you do not need to utilise any third party hosting facility in order to post pictures. You simply upload them direct from your "My Pictures" file on your computer. When starting a thread you can post as many piccies as you like. When replying or contributing to an existing thread you are limited to one piccy per posting.
Sign up for a closed group and if nothing else you can actually see who will be able to read your posting and/or reply.
What confuses me is the delight that some take in boasting of their "Luddite" like tendencies regarding Facebook. The "I don't like Facebook" comments are a bit like children who say "I do not eat curry because I don't like it" (insert food of your choice here) when in fact they have never eaten it.
We are all here together thanks to the world of computers and that world will not go away it is destined to expand. We nearly all have mobile phones, computers, iPads etc etc and despite what you might think they haven't managed to wipe out the human race...……..yet.
