I subscribed once to FB for a couple of months in a closed Group which my son set up to let close friends and family know how his wife was (all of her family and friends are in Western Australia) during her spinal reconstruction and 6 months of rehab. It saved him spending hours on the phone going over the same story to concerned enquirers after daily exhausting and stressful hospital visits. It served a purpose at the time but I unsubscribed as I prefer to converse/discuss events with my friends and family on a visit, by email or with a phone call, i.e. with a 'proper' two-way conversation or a bit of banter, rather than by posting an 'announcement'.
I guess he could have set up a Group email template but it seems these 'youngsters' spend more time on FB than they do looking at their emails.
Thank you for your support...
