My little BSA (1937 B21) is a dreadful at wet sumping. If left for very long it will not only fill up the sump, but the primary chain case as well. OK, knowing that I just could drain them both off before use, or knowing it was not going to be used for awhile, drain the oil tank before I put it away.
I worry about fitting a tap in the oil feed, forgetting to turn it on could be a very expensive mistake. Or should I fit one of those anti wet sumping valves in the oil feed? I have heard all sorts of stories about these, some good, others bad. What do the panel think, do they work. or should I just carry on draining out each time?
