Exchange and Mart was such an entertaining read just to see what strange things could be bought. My purchases, late fifties, included a .410 shot pistol, probably more dangerous to the operator than the target, a sheepdog puppy, riddled with worms, a fox cub, intended for a present for my mother, until she pointed out that we were moving house which was next to the local hunt kennels, and a really cool and cheap corduroy jacket that was so thin it came in an envelope! Plus numerous bikes. I think I got my 1939 v twin Enfield and 1929 Matchless 500 plus an ES2 engine(why on Earth?) from there. Happy Daze.(tmJF).
